The City of Santa Clarita invites community members to sign-up for an excursion to the Los Angeles Art Show at the L.A. Convention Center on Wednesday, Jan. 18. The trip includes admission to the exhibit, bus transportation, breakfast refreshments and pastries. The deadline to purchase tickets is noon on Jan. 13.
At the L.A. Art Show, art enthusiasts of all ages can explore over 200,000 square feet of paintings, sculptures, photography, installations, and videos celebrating artists from the past 70 years. The art show also features a comprehensive collection of modern and contemporary pieces from over 130 international galleries, making it one of the largest art exhibitions on the West Coast.
Two new shows debuted at this year’s event highlighting the progression of artistic style. The Los Angeles Fine Art Show: Historic and Traditional features collections from 18th century European contemporary realism as well as pieces of other related styles. The Modern and Contemporary show highlights bold and exciting works from today’s influential artists, providing a vibrant and joyful atmosphere.
Registered attendees must arrive at City Hall before 9:30 a.m. on January 18, for departure. Complimentary coffee and pastries will be served at 9:00 a.m. Participants will have over three hours to explore the show before departing from the L.A. Art Show at 2:30 p.m. The bus is expected to return to Santa Clarita around 3:45 p.m.
