The National Weather Service is forecasting an 80 percent chance of showers Monday across the Santa Clarita Valley with possible hail in the valleys and a dusting of powder on the mountaintops as the snow level drops to 3,100 feet.
Highs of 54 degrees are expected for most of the valley, with highs of just 42 in eastern Canyon Country and Agua Dulce. Rain should taper off tonight and give way to areas of frost before Tuesday warms to a high of 57 degrees (48 in eastern regions).
Monday brings west-southwest winds of 15 and 20 mph to the SCV with gusts up to 30 mph, calming Tuesday to 5-10 mph.
Temperatures should continue to warm throughout the week, reaching into the 70s for the weekend.
