The City of Santa Clarita is encouraging residents to apply for vacant positions on the Planning Commission, Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission, Arts Commission, and the Open Space Preservation District Financial Accountability and Audit Panel (FAAP).
Two terms of office on each Commission and Panel will expire on July 31, 2012. New office terms will expire on July 31, 2016. One term of office for the FAAP is currently open due to an unscheduled vacancy with the appointment to this office expiring on July 31, 2014.
All interested applicants must submit three letters of recommendation with their application. The deadline for submitting an application to the City Clerk’s office, located at 23920 Valencia Blvd., Suite 304, is Friday, June 15, at 5 p.m.
Applicants must be 18 years or older and maintain their principal residence in the City of Santa Clarita during their term of office. Evening availability is also required.
