The Santa Clarita Storm men’s soccer team poured it on against the Phoenix Monsoons in a National Premier League Soccer game.
The Storm won, 7-1, behind a four-goal game from Tyler Coombes. He also recorded an assist. Martin Galvan had a big game as well, assisting on three of Coombes’ goals and scoring one of his own.
It was the second time this season Coombes has scored three goals in a game. He leads the Storm with 28 points.
The Storm is on the road and plays Fullerton on Sunday.

The Santa Clarita Blue Heat women’s soccer team tied the Colorado Rush, 1-1, in a United Soccer League W-League game.
The Rush took a 1-0 lead in the first half. The Blue Heat tied the score on a goal by Laura Luis midway through the second half.
Edite Fernandes assisted on Luis’ goal.
The Blue Heat are back in action on Wednesday. They play the Victoria Highlanders in Canada.
In the NBA playoffs, Game 4 of the Finals between the Miami Heat and Oklahoma City Thunder is tonight. The Heat have a 2-1 lead and have won the past two games.
The game is in Miami. Tipoff is set for 6.
In college baseball, top-seeded Florida was eliminated from the NCAA College World Series after a 5-4 loss to Kent State.
Meanwhile, UCLA faces Florida State in an elimination game today at 5. The winner will play Arizona on Thursday.
The Dodgers are in Oakland for the start of a three-game series against the A’s. Aaron Harang is on the mound for the Dodgers. The A’s will send Brandon McCarthy to start.
