The City of Santa Clarita will temporarily close the Goldcrest Paseo Bridge, located in the Summit neighborhood at Del Monte Drive and Goldcrest Drive at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4, 2012.
During previous Fourth of July celebrations, this 25 year-old bridge has served as a popular viewing area for residents to enjoy the City’s annual firework show. Due to the age of this wooden bridge, the City is taking precautionary measures and will temporarily close this structure in anticipation of the fireworks, which will take place at 9:15 p.m. at Westfield Valencia Town Center. The Goldcrest Paseo Bridge will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2012. The Goldcrest Paseo Bridge is scheduled to be replaced with a metal bridge in the spring of 2013.
