[LASD] – This week there were six Part-1 crimes in the Saugus area.
There was a burglary to a business in the 26700 block of Bouquet Canyon Road on Monday morning between 1:15 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. The front glass door was broken and money was taken. Detectives are actively working on this case.
There was a burglary from a vehicle from the 27600 block of Susan Beth Way between Sunday at 12:00pm and Monday at 8:10am. Persons unknown broke the driver’s side window and stole miscellaneous personal items.
There was a petty theft from a residence at the 22300 block of Barbacoa Drive on Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Persons unknown stole a package left by FedEx on their front porch. To help prevent from becoming a victim of this type of crime check with your postal service and see if they provide an option to store your item at their location if you are not home at the time of delivery.
There was a theft from an unlocked vehicle from in 27500 block of Seco Canyon Road on Sunday between 4 and 6 p.m. The victim left her vehicle with the windows rolled down while she went into her residence. When she returned she noticed her wallet was missing from her purse.
With the rising temperatures there are some things you need to keep in mind. It is common practice for many people to leave their windows down in their vehicle so it isn’t too hot when they return. This practice is the ideal situation for criminals looking to steal your property. If you need to keep your windows down I urge you to take items of value with you when leaving your car unattended.
There were also two petty thefts from a local business on Carl Boyer Drive. In both cases the suspects were arrested.
Anyone with information related to the above crimes are urged to call the Santa Clarita Station at 661-255-1121.
Total Part-1 crimes have been consistently low in the Saugus area for the past month due to the work of proactive deputies and involved residents. Help make a difference by reporting suspicious activity to Santa Clarita Station.
