The WiSH Education Foundation has announced its inaugural fundraising event, “A Starry, Starry Night,” to be held Saturday, Oct. 13. The event will be a two-part star-studded evening of entertainment and fun that has something for everyone to enjoy, while supporting academics, programs and extracurricular activities for all students in the Hart School District.

The evening will start in the Hart High Auditorium at 7:30 pm where guests will be treated to a fantastic 90-minute show performed by popular celebrities from So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing with the Stars and American Idol. Featured performers will include: Louis Van Amstel, Chelsie Hightower, Anna Trebunskaya, Jonathan Roberts, Karina Smirnoff and Dmitry Chaplin from Dancing with the Stars; Mary Murphy, Stephen tWitch Boss, Allison Holker and Alex Wong from So You Think You Can Dance, and LaToya London from American Idol. (All celebrities are subject to change without notice.)

Special guest Kyle Massey from the television show That’s So Raven is slated to be the Master of Ceremonies. The award winning Hart High School Dance Team will also perform.

Following the family variety show, VIP ticket holders will move next door to the SCV Boys & Girls Club for a VIP After-Party, which includes a meet and greet with the celebrities, music, dancing, silent auction, desserts and cocktails. Guests must be 21 and older for the after-party event. Children and teens 5-18 with VIP tickets can enjoy their own adult-supervised party in the Kid’s Room adjacent to the Boys & Girls Club venue. Refreshments will be served.

The WiSH Education Foundation was established recently with a group of 15 local community leaders and public school advocates to raise additional funds for the Hart School District to maintain its high quality programs, during this challenging time of state budget cuts. The Vision Statement of this 501(c)3 non-profit organization is: The Wm. S. Hart Education Foundation is dedicated to quality public education for all students. Through the generosity of our caring community and corporate partners, we fund programs and initiatives that go beyond what tax dollars provide and help elevate and prepare our students for life. WiSH is the official private-fundraising organization for the support of the William S. Hart Union High School District’s educational programs.

A limited number of VIP tickets will be available for $100, which includes a special VIP seating area for the performance, and admission to the VIP After-Party. Entertainment show tickets are $40 each and will be general seating.
