1934 - Bouquet Canyon Reservoir, replacement for ill-fated St. Francis Dam & reservoir, begins to fill with water [story]
Bouquet Reservoir

A multiple truck collision in the Newhall Pass was reported Tuesday at 2:20 a.m., trapping a driver and causing the truck route to close until at least noon today, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Reports indicate that the closure of the truck route at the 5 southbound to the Highway 14 connector was a result of two separate accidents. The first involving four vehicles, including a dump truck; the second collision involved five more trucks.

CHP reports that crews are working to free a driver who is trapped in wreckage. Extent of damage and injuries are currently unknown.
