Work off those Thanksgiving calories with some swing dancing at the SCV Senior Center, as Lenny LaCroix’s band fills the multipurpose room with the sounds of yesteryear on Sunday, Nov. 25.
The Santa Clarita Swing Jazz Club hosts a different band the fourth Sunday of every month. Entrance fees are $7 for jazz club members and $10 for non-members.
There is a free dance lesson with admission from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., a musicians’ jam session from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and Lenny LaCroix’s band from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
“The monthly Swing Jazz Club events are a wonderful time of music and dancing at the Senior Center,” said Robin Clough, the center’s director of recreation and volunteers. “The musicians and dancers bring a lot of energy, and the fact the club holds this as a fundraiser is much appreciated.”
The Senior Center is located at 22900 Market St. in Newhall.
