Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Crime Prevention Unit
This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:
(2) Aggravated Assaults, (1) Residential Burglary, (1) Commercial Burglary, (5) Vehicle Burglaries, (1) Shoplift, and (4) Petty Thefts.
An aggravated assault occurred near the 27000 block of Camp Plenty Road. The victim was allegedly chased through an apartment complex and shot at by the suspect. The suspect then fled with several other males in a white, 4-door vehicle. If you have any information regarding this incident, please contact the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station.
A residential burglary occurred near the 19600 block of Green Mountain Drive. An unknown suspect kicked open a rear door to the residence and took several pieces of jewelry.
A commercial burglary occurred near the 19000 block of Nadal Street. An unknown suspect took the victim’s purse from a classroom and used the victim’s debit card to purchase items from local stores. After follow up investigation by the victim and Santa Clarita Station Detectives, a male and female juvenile were detained and charged with burglary.
Two window smash vehicle burglaries occurred near the 28000 block of Haxton Drive. Taken during the incident was a wallet, a GPS and a small amount of U.S. currency.
A window smash burglary occurred near the intersection of Fairweather Street and Walnut Springs Avenue. It was undetermined at the time of the incident, if anything was taken.
A shoplift burglary occurred near the 26400 block of Carl Boyer Drive. A male suspect was detained by loss prevention personnel after failing to pay for electronic items he concealed in a backpack. The suspect was subsequently arrested by responding deputies.
