[KHTS] – The Santa Clarita Valley Family YMCA held its annual Halloween Festivities event Saturday.
“We love to do stuff for the community. We like to do stuff that is fun for mom, dad, and the kids. We even have our chili cook-off so we even get our seniors involved,” said said Sharlene Duzick, director of membership at the Santa Clarita Valley Family YMCA.
Hundreds of Santa Clarita residents attended the free event.
“Last year we had about 300 people, well probably have close to that,” she said. “We have so many great relationships out in the community whether it be charter schools, preschools, entities such as KHTS AM 1220.”
Families were able to enjoy indoor trick-or-treating along with many other fun activities put on by the YMCA.
“We have face painting, three different crafts, games, a costume contests and a haunted activities center,” Duzick said. “Our Miss Santa Clarita girls are helping and handing out candy for kids who don’t get to go trick-or-treating.”
