During the above dates, there were four reported part one crimes in Zone 3. Here are some details regarding those crimes.
There was a shoplifting (burglary) incident that occurred at Walmart on The Old Road. Deputies responded and discovered that the suspect had filled a cart with items and taken them to his vehicle. He then entered the store and did it again. The deputies ultimately arrested a 62-year-old male from Castaic for burglary (ref – 14747).
A vehicle burglary was reported from the parking lot of 25955 The Old Road. This incident occurred on Friday, October 25th 2013 between 6:30pm and 9:00pm. A window on the vehicle was shattered and a purse, makeup, keys, and a checkbook were reported stolen (ref -14813).
A vehicle burglary was reported from the parking lot of 26650 The Old Road. This incident occurred on Thursday, October 31st 2013 between 9:45pm and 11:15pm. There were no signs of forced entry, however the victim stated she locked her car before leaving it. Sunglasses, a wallet, and a brown Steve Madden bag were reported stolen (ref -14942).
A burglary incident was reported at Walmart located on The Old Road. Numerous items were stolen from the location and when loss prevention officers from the store attempted to detain the suspects, they fled. This case is still under investigation. As the suspect’s fled, numerous stolen items were recovered (ref -14981).
