After casting a wide net, Lundgren Management has found a new vice president of operations for its work throughout Southern California.
Daniel Moore is a construction industry veteran who has spent more than 17 years in executive management. Moore will direct the company’s construction management and construction operations through all phases of work. His experience includes construction management, general contracting, team leadership and development, division management, team building, subcontractor coordination, business development, key relationship management, strategic and budgetary planning, regulatory compliance, project financing and total quality management.
“We were not only searching for someone with a deep knowledge of and experience in construction, but someone who values quality, people and team-building,” company President Dale Lundgren said. “Dan stood out as a perfect fit for Lundgren.”
With its headquarters in Valencia, Lundgren is a leader in school-related construction projects throughout the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura, Santa Barbara and Kern.
A Kansas native, Moore’s resume includes being executive vice president and chief operating officer for Walton Construction Company, Inc., in addition to being president of Price Brothers Construction and Bridge Construction Management Services LLC. Moore graduated from Kansas State University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in architecture and Bachelor of Science in construction.
While with Walton, Moore was closely involved in the $135 million renovation of Kansas City International Airport, a project that grew in scope by 30 percent due, in part, to the impacts of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Despite those impacts, Moore and his team completed the project three months ahead of schedule and millions under budget.
Shawn Fonder, vice president of program and client services, said Moore stood out as a great fit for Lundgren’s corporate culture.
