[KHTS] – A Castaic family is trying to find their 2-year-old daughter, who may be with her father, according to information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The child’s name is Shae Rebel, toddler from Castaic, who was reported missing Nov. 21, according to the NCMEC website.
“It’s being treated as a parental abduction/missing person investigation,” Dubin said. “We’re following up on numerous leads.”
She is described as white, with blonde hair, approximately 3 feet tall and weighs 26 pounds.
Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies received the report at 4:50 p.m. on Nov. 21, according to Deputy Josh Dubin of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Dubin described the situation as an active investigation. It is being handled by the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Detective Bureau, Dubin said.
Sheriff’s Station officials did not confirm whether the father is beleived to be a subject of their investigation, citing the fact that it’s an active investigation.
The NCMEC shared two photos of the girl.
The mother filed the report on Nov. 21 at 4:50 p.m., according to Sheriff’s Station officials.
She may be in the company of her father, Jesse Rebel, and the pair could be in North Dakota, according to the website.

An official with the NCMEC confirmed she is still missing as of 10:30 a.m.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies investigated an average of slightly more than one missing person’s report per day in 2012, the most recent numbers available, according to Sheriff’s Station officials in a previous interview.
There were 368 incidents in 2012. Of those cases, more than 250 involved juveniles.
