Tierra del Sol’s Family Ambassador and Mentoring Workshops (FAM-W) are a six-month certification program designed for families, caregivers and others who want to become ambassadors for change in their communities.
Family members are some of the most qualified people to speak for Tierra, because they understand the challenges faced by individuals with developmental disabilities, and how Tierra helps change those challenges into opportunities.
Starting Jan. 22, the Family Ambassador and Mentoring Workshops will give participants a full understanding of Tierra’s background and mission, training in shaping and sharing your story, sharing the Tierra message, connecting with local leaders, learning about disability rights in California and visiting with elected officials.
For more information or to sign up for this free program, contact Gail Davis, Manager of Family and Volunteer Services, at (818) 540-5349 or gdavis@tierradelsol.org
This year, won’t you partner with us in changing challenges into opportunities for 675 men and women?
