J. Chris Mattingly has been named chief executive officer of the Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers, the agency announced Thursday.
Board Chair Mercado-Fortine said: “The board and staff of SDFHC are thrilled to have attracted someone of Mattingly’s experience and background, and look forward to working with him to expand community health care services in the Santa Clarita Valley.” She also expressed her ardent appreciation to the outgoing Chief Executive Officer, Cheryl Laymon, for her 16 years of dedicated service.
Mattingly comes with over 25 years of health care experience, mainly in hospital and clinic settings. Mattingly said: “I am honored and humbled to be part of the Samuel Dixon team, where there is real dedication and spirit to serve the health care needs of others.”
SDFHC will be sponsoring a Welcome Reception for Mattingly on Saturday, February 8, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Elks Lodge #2379. This will be a great opportunity for the community to meet Chris Mattingly, and welcome him to the Santa Clarita Valley.
SDFHC is a community-based, non-profit public benefit organization, committed to enhancing wellness by providing quality outpatient health care service and programs, health education, community resources, and referrals.
