The joint will be jumping at West Ranch High School Jazz Department’s inaugural Swing Dance, coming to the Wiley Canyon Elementary School MPR on Friday, Feb. 7, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
For all you experienced hep cats, come cut a rug while you groove to the music of the outstanding Jazz ensembles, WRHS Studio A and Lab Jazz Bands.
Forgot how to Lindy or need to brush up on your Jitterbug? No worries. Championship dancers Andrew Jose and Katina Vallens will be your instructors for the evening. They are the current Amateur Strictly Lindy Champions and four time defending Team Champions from the National Jitterbug Championships, and hold the current Team Championship from the International Lindy Hop Championships. Together, Andrew and Katina teach weekly for the Swing Club at UCLA.
“Dan the Magic Man” will be performing magic throughout the evening, and handing out guest passes to The Magic Castle, to some lucky guys and gals. Be sure to stop by the photo booth to create some fun photos to remember your swell evening.
Ticket Prices will be $20 for Adults, and $15 for Students and Seniors.
