Calling all cowboys and cowgirls! Tickets to 2014 Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival, presented by Logix Federal Credit Union, are still available for all events, but they are going fast.
Named the “Best Cowboy Music Gathering” by True West magazine, the 21st Annual Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival will take place on April 24-27, 2014, featuring the best in authentic Western gear, food, activities, living history exhibits and show-stopping live performances.
A few of this year’s spotlight events and premium tickets include:
Friends of the Festival ($150) – This all-access pass includes admission to the Cowboy Festival for both days at Melody Ranch (April 26 and 27), preferred seating in the first five rows for all performances at the Melody Ranch Theater, all-weekend access to the VIP Bunkhouse at Melody Ranch with free food and drink, VIP Shuttle service and one “Buckaroo Buck” good for the purchase of one item of Festival Merchandise (performer product excepted).
April 25: Melody Ranch Movie Night ($60) – Enjoy an intimate western-style dinner, exclusive shopping and a once-in-a-lifetime viewing of classic film The Magnificent Seven – all under the stars on Melody Ranch’s iconic Main Street.
April 24 and 25: Western Film Tour – Part 1 and 2 ($45 per tour / $80 for two) – Explore the rich Western film history of the Santa Clarita Valley with a two-part tour led by local historians E.J. and Kim Stephens. Part 1 of the tour (April 24) will depart from William S. Hart Park, passing iconic Western film sites like Disney’s Golden Oak Ranch and Vasquez Rocks. Part 2 (April 25) will explore several historic film sites outside the Santa Clarita Valley, including the Santa Susana Pass, “Lone Ranger Rock” and the Garden of the Gods.
April 26: Cowboy Cabaret featuring Cow Bop and The Lucky Stars ($35) – Get up close and personal with the best Western swing musicians in the country as they jam the night away at the Repertory East Playhouse in historic Downtown Newhall.
April 24: An Evening with Mr. and Mrs. Wyatt Earp ($35) – Meet the real life Earp relatives as they perform their highly acclaimed, award winning play based on the true life accounts of the Tombstone events and Wyatt and Josie’s volatile relationship.
April 25: Growing up with Roy Rogers and Dale Evans ($50) – Join Cheryl Rogers Barnett, daughter of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, and America’s foremost film historian, Leonard Maltin, for a night filled with stories, family home movies, rare career footage, and audience Q & A in the intimate living room of William S. Hart’s mansion (pictured above).
April 27: An Evening with Jon Chandler and Belinda Gail ($70) – Join “America’s Western Sweetheart,” Belinda Gail, and the “Voice of the Colorado Rockies,” Jon Chandler, for a night of traditional and contemporary western music. Belinda is one of western music’s most awarded female artists, and Jon is widely regarded as one of America’s best western authors and singer/songwriters.
