QuickBooks Boot Camp

In this day long workshop, participants will learn how to set up their company file from scratch; how to create a quality chart of accounts; how to create new vendors, customer, items and accounts. You will also learn how to pay bills, invoice customers, receive payments, make deposits and reconcile bank accounts. An introduction to the report center will be covered, including how to create a Profit & Loss Statement and a Balance Sheet. Ideal for business owners, office managers, and bookkeepers who are brand new to QuickBooks, as well as, existing users who would like some formal education in one of these QuickBooks features. Trade Connect – Export Workshop for Aerospace Suppliers

This training is being held in conjunction with the Port of LA, the SBDC, the Center for International Trade Development (CITD), and the Center for Applied Competitive Technologies (CACT).  It is targeted toward aerospace providers and will cover:

  • Practical approaches to exporting in the aerospace sector
  • How the Department of Commerce assists in finding markets & sponsoring trade shows
  • The role of the freight forwarder in assisting the export process
  • Introduction to export permitting process  (BIS and ITAR)
  • Export capabilities of the Port & Airport: Aircraft & parts – our largest export
  • Export finance & trade insurance
  • Assistance provided by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Center for International Trade Development (CITD), and Center for Applied Competitive Technologies (CACT)
