Santa Clarita Valley Deputies Searching For Suspect In Valencia[KHTS] – Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies are searching for a suspect in the alleged armed robbery of a jewelry store in the Westfield Valencia Town Center.

A jewelry store on the 24200 block of Town Center Drive was robbed Thursday at about 9:30 a.m., according to Sheriff’s Station officials.

The suspect was wearing a black coat, black pants and dark sunglasses, according to the initial description.

The suspect walked into Andrew’s Jewelers at the Westfield Valencia Town Center mall and robbed the owner.

“It was simulated (armed robbery),” Myers said. “The victim never saw the gun, but he believed he felt a gun in his back.”

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies responded and began a search of the area, according to Sgt. Myers of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

No one was injured in the incident.

“We are searching the area and reviewing surveillance video,” Myers said.

No information is being released on whether a suspect has been apprehended at this time.
