The 6-year-old Plaza at Golden Valley commercial center east of Highway 14 in Santa Clarita has been sold to a California real estate investment partnership, according to the trade publication Commercial Property Executive.

The website of Merlone Geier Partners, with offices in San Francisco and San Diego, confirms that it now owns the 618,000-square-foot complex that includes a Target store, Lowe’s, Staples and Kohl’s, among others.

The seller was  Terramar Retail Centers LLC, and the buyer is a Merlone Geier affiliate named MGP XI REIT LLC, according to the publication.

The purchase involves all of the retail property that’s part of the Golden Valley Ranch development. The price was not indicated. The housing portion of the development project has not yet started construction.

  8. HM is coming to the Mall ??? When?

  9. Trader joes and a Cheesecake Factory and I will have no need to leave scv! Lol

  10. If a trader joes went there, I would never need to go to valencia or even cross town. Sorry but we have the better target, khols, and wal mart in Scv!

  11. Sandra Moll Sandra Moll says:

Portos it coming to the area where tresierras used to be.

  12. Rima Sappington says:

Kohls is an affiliate od Target. I think leases need to be honored and Target won’t let Trader Joes in. There is plenty of empty spaces but no one but Trader Joes wants in.

  13. Yep H&M is coming to our mall in Valencia! The store that I use to work, Finish Line, closed down due to lease and H&M might be taking that lot and more. It’s rumoured to be 2 stories tall.

  28. Haha what is everyone’s obsession with Cheesecake Factory? The last thing we need is some generic chain restaurant.

  30. I’m soooo excited to hear that Portos is coming to the SCV :)

Trader Joe’s, Shakey’s Pizza, or a Bob’s Big Boy would be awesome… Keep Kohl’s for sure!

  34. Ron Perez Ron Perez says:

Trader Joes needs to go in where the Albertsons just left from on Soledad & Sierra, it’s the perfect size building for it.

  35. Where did you hear that a portos is coming?? That would be awesome!!!

  36. Portos oh no I am in trouble.

  37. Portos, Cheesecake Factory, Fry’s Electronics, and a Tesla Motors Supercharger station.

  38. The Cheesecake Factory is “a generic chain restaurant”!!!! WHAT???? It’s 100 times better than Sizzler or Toppers Pizza (restaurants that recently opened)!! Go to any CF and the wait is long because they have good food and their prices are reasonable! The corner restaurant up at The Patio’s has already been 2 different restaurants within a year! Put in a CF and it’ll be a HIT!!!

  39. Sandra Mollr u sure? That will be awesome!

  40. I spoke to Porto’s a couple of months back and unless something has dramatically changed. They had no plans to come to a scv.

  41. James W. says:

Sorry to burst everyone’s bubble but Portos is not coming to SCV, they looked at the area but won’t commit. Also Cheesecake requires a trade population of 1 million people….even lumping in the AV we still aren’t there so it’ll be sometime before a CF comes to SCV.

  42. I agree with Sheila and Rachelle. (Hi ladies) I would love a Cheescake Factory but I like having a Kohls on this side of town too :) That area is big enough for both and maybe even a Chuckie Cheese for the kids :)

  43. Shorty Lea Shorty Lea says:

Sandra Moll how do you know this??? In newhall? Stop teasing!!! It would be perfect!!!!

The 76.6-mile-long Antelope Valley Line has the third-highest ridership in Metrolink’s system with an estimated average of 9,000 passengers daily.
