The Master’s College women’s cross country and track programs have signed Rachel Rush of Santa Clarita, California, to compete in the fall of 2014.
Rush, a future graduate of Canyon High School, possesses an impressive high school resume which includes being named the cross country and track team’s captain, a recipient of Canyon’s coaches’ award, and being named as “Most Improved” for the Cowboys. Rush was also named to the All-Foothill League’s Second Team.
Academically, Rush has been a member of the National Honor Society, the California Scholastic Federation, the National English Honor Society, and a recipient of Canyon’s Scholar Athlete award.
Commenting on her future time at The Master’s College, Rush stated, “I am looking forward to attending The Master’s College because I can be part of a God-centered team that can encourage me to perform to the best of my ability while glorifying God through my running. I am also excited about taking Bible-centered classes.”
Rush also has two admirable goals when competing for The Master’s College women’s cross country and track programs: “Train and compete to the best of my ability for the next four years, and to find my true potential in running.”
When not competing, Rush looks to major in Kinesiology & Physical Education in order to prepare for a career in nursing.
The Lady Mustang cross country program manufactured strong marks in 2013, producing four All-GSAC cross country athletes: Karis Frankian, Katrina Graham, Rachel Ingoldsby, and Hannah Kellerman.
Looking to another fruitful 2014-15 season, the Lady Mustangs will be graduating key three seniors, but returning six seasoned veterans.
