Based on her outstanding performance in last week’s 5-0 victory over No. 2 Westmont, TMC’s Natasha Coyle has been named the GSAC’s Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
After the 15th-ranked Lady Mustangs held No. 7 Concordia to a 1-1 tied in Irvine, Coyle led TMC’s ground assault on Saturday in Santa Barbara where the senior forward’s three goals laid the foundation for a 5-0 upset over No. 2 Westmont. Coyle’s hat trick against the Warriors helped TMC improve its 2014 record to 6-2-1 and 1-0-1 in conference play.
In the nine games she has appeared in this season, Coyle has posted 29 shots, 20 shots on goal, and six goals.
On Wednesday, Coyle and the Lady Mustangs will take on GSAC-newcomer William Jessup (5-4, 0-2 GSAC). Kick off is set for 12:30 p.m. at Reese Field.
