Help Make the Season Bright for our Kids
Child & Family Center is fortunate to have many generous supporters to help spread the holiday cheer to our children and families. Following is a list of ways you can help:
ADOPT A FAMILY
Some of our families are extremely needy. We will supply you with a family, detailing the makeup of the family (mother, father, # of children) including age, gender, gift ideas and family needs that include food and basic necessities.
TEEN GIFT CARDS
Teens are often overlooked by traditional “toy drives” so we distribute gift cards to Target or Wal-Mart so the client can purchase a gift for themselves, or perhaps choose something for a family member. The denomination is $25. You can donate the cards themselves, or donate money and we will be happy to purchase the cards.
TOY DONATIONS
With over 600 clients, we are in need of toys for all age groups. Any toy is very much appreciated and will bring happiness to a child this holiday season.
HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE
Many of our families are in need of food for both Thanksgiving and the holidays. Any non-perishables food items are greatly appreciated and needed. Grocery store gift cards are also needed and best for clients to purchase their perishable items.
ALTERNATIVE GIFT DONATION
Make a financial donation to the Child & Family Center in the name of a family member or friend. The person whose name the donation was made in will receive a beautiful notification that a gift has been made in their honor. This gift will enable us to help a child who is struggling emotionally this holiday season.
We will begin distribution the week of December 15th, ending on Friday December 19th. Therefore, we would appreciate receiving donations on December 11th or 12th to give adequate time for the therapists to collect the gifts and meet with their clients.
