A few tickets are still available for William S. Hart’s 150th birthday whoop-te-do at Hart Park in Newhall on Saturday, Dec. 6. The Spanish-style Mansion looks pretty cool in its holiday duds, and Western swingers Cow Bop will provide the soundtrack for the evening in Hart Hall. Tickets are $25 per person or $40 for a family couple, and you also get membership in Friends of Hart Park, the nonprofit gang rounding up this bash. Call 661-222-9542 for a good time and a good cause.
Upcoming guests on SCVTV’s “House Blend” show are ganging up Saturday night at the It’s a Grind coffeehouse in Castaic. It’s a showcase of The fahr.west Sessions songwriters, featuring Gruven Tom Lamog, David Fry, Trout Davis and my old music journalist pal Pat Nason. They’ll each take a turn fronting their own small groups including Trout & Co., The Regular Crew, and StrawDog. Then the whole crew will stuff the stage for a massive jam. Showtime’s at 7 p.m. Call It’s a Grind at 661-702-9636 for more info.
And speaking of “House Blend,” if you missed last weekend’s premiere of our all-new special edition featuring world famous local blues band Teresa James & The Rhythm Tramps, worry not. You can catch an encore telecast this Saturday night. Chase your blues with Teresa James & The Rhythm Tramps on “House Blend” at 10 p.m. on SCVTV.
