[KHTS] – Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies responded Friday to a report of a dead body found in the Santa Clara River wash in Canyon Country.

Deputies received the call regarding an adult male found face down in the wash near the intersection of Langside and Soledad Canyon Road around 10:50 a.m., officials said.

Multiple deputies are on scene and a helicopter was called in for a possible rescue; however, fire officials cancelled medical units because they determined the man was dead.

    So sad & unfortunate

  16. We lived in a home that backed up to the Wash back in the early 80’s. As kids we roamed the wash for hours and hours as our own play ground. Even then, there were always homeless people living there. No homes built on land filled areas so trees and shrubs were everywhere. I don’t see it getting any better anytime soon. Very sad
