The following crimes were reported in Zone 2, Castaic/Val Verde.

A petty theft was reported from the 30000 block of San Martinez Road. Two juvenile males were detained by responding deputies for reportedly stealing items from the local liquor store.  Both subjects were released to their parents from the Santa Clarita Sheriff station.

While shopping during this holiday season, please remember to never leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle, close and lock your doors.  Minimize your risk and avoid being the victim of a crime of opportunity.  If you see any suspicious activity, call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.
