Saugus, Zone 4 Update

Snapshot: 12/22/2014 – 12/28/2014
The following Part 1 crimes were reported in Saugus over the past week:
A residential burglary was reported in the 28500 block of Redwood Canyon Place on December 24th. The victim returned home to discover items were stolen from his kitchen including his keys. His vehicle was also stolen from the residence. Santa Clarita Detectives are actively working this case.
A vehicle was stolen in the 26900 block of Seco Canyon Road on December 23rd. The suspect let a stranger sit in his running vehicle while he walked in a store to buy groceries. When he returned the vehicle was gone. Detectives are working on leads to this incident.
There was a burglary to a storage container reported near the corner of Vista Del Rio Drive/Rio Norte Drive between December 19th and December 23rd. Employees at the location discovered several tools were stolen from the container between the indicated dates.
We had a theft from an unlocked vehicle reported in the 22400 block of Barbacoa Drive late December 24th into the early morning hours of December 25th. The victim discovered several items were stolen from her unlocked vehicle.
With the New Years upon us please remember to celebrate responsibly. If you plan on drinking please have a designated driver. Start your year off right by making responsible decisions.
