The San Fernando Valley Council of Governments along with Move LA will host the Imagining Our Transportation Future Town Hall meeting from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26, at the Valley Municipal Building, located at 14410 Sylvan Street in Van Nuys.
The Town Hall meeting will examine important public transit issues and transportation investment alternatives facing the Santa Clarita and San Fernando areas. The meeting will feature speakers from the LA Metro Board, including LA County Supervisor Mike Antonovich, LA County Councilmember Paul Krekorian and Glendale City Councilmember Ara Najarian.
LA Metro is currently moving forward with its Long Range Transportation Plan update and is considering a transportation funding measure that may be placed before LA County voters. Staff will facilitate a discussion to encourage attendees to participate in meaningful public dialogue on these topics at the meeting.
Interested participants must RSVP at movela.org/calendar. For more information about the Town Hall meeting, please call Marisa Garcia at Move LA at (310) 310-2390 or email Marisa@movela.org.
