Several Santa Clarita high school athletes made their college sports plans known Wednesday, aka National Letter of Intent Signing Day.

Canyon NLI 020415Four girls soccer players from Canyon all made their Division I choices official. Kyla Danforth will play at Seattle University; Kendall Bietsch at University of the Pacific; Celia Franco at the University of San Francisco; and Meghan Kennedy at Cornell.

Four different athletes from Golden Valley penned their choices at an on-campus lunchtime ceremony.

GV NLI 020415Zac Bygum will play baseball at Dartmouth University; Vincent Hill will play baseball at Midland University in Nebraska; Miranda Escalera will play softball at Sterling College in Kansas; Nash Soliman will play football at Montana University Northern.

Hart had the largest number of commits on signing day — seven. Proyfon Lohaphaisan will compete in tennis at Quinnipiac University; Michaela Rickard will play soccer at The Masters College; Jenny Chavez Guerrero will play soccer at Eastern Washington University; Danielle Spickard will play soccer at Washington & Lee University; Blake Fall will play football at the Air Force Academy; Trent Irwin will play football at Stanford; and Jack Ralston will play baseball at UCLA.Hart NLI 020415

All other schools with college-bound athletes will have ceremonies later in the year.
