The City of Santa Clarita invites small community groups, arts organizations or non-profits seeking to grow their organization and gain experience with modern administration practices to attend a free New Heights: Artist Development Workshop on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Century Room at Santa Clarita City Hall, located at 23920 Valencia Boulevard.
The workshop, entitled “Building Administrative Capacity and Efficiency: Simple Tools to Help Make Things Easier,” will be led by David Stears, who brings 25 years of experience as a producer, arts administrator, educator and arts leader in Los Angeles. Stears will highlight simple, low cost resources for organizations to establish a professional presence, consolidate patron and participant information, and build and maintain mailing lists. He will also discuss the importance of formal financial management.
