I will never understand killing someone you are more than likely friends/lovers/family with. If you want to take yourself out… do it. With that said, I feel for the families.

this is too much. They need to stop making new laws about if prisoners are on good behavior they get out early. Just like that guy who killed his baby and made her perform oral sex.
Did this guy get out early?

That guy is still very much in jail…. Read the articles.

That law does not apply to violent crimes. Read up girl. It’s only gonna be drug offenses and stuff like that.

Matthew warner has NOT been released. That Information is current as of 629 this morning. Info coming from lasd.org inmate search. He is housed in twin towers and is NOT getting out.
Lin Nanson Geist
Lol where did you read that either one of the dead people had GOT OUT EARLY??? And yes that new law is only for minor drug offenses and petty theft!! Instead of being IGNORANT maybe you should find out facts about something rather then assuming!!
Yea, my boyfriend was released on ab109. There are people that deserve it, that’s why the law was created. No one could have picked out the one in a million baby rapist. The early release has nothing to do with what he did.
^^^Haha…That’s why you are a supporter of AB109. Once a dirt bag always a dirt bag. Good luck with that.
And also, just because you made some mistakes and experimented with drugs, doesn’t make you a dirt bag. I had to learn that one too, so I know it’s hard to process. Matt warner happened to be a very sick man that was also on drugs. But my boyfriend is a great dude, out on early release 2 years ago. Been working 2 jobs and visiting NA weekly ever since. It’s a beautiful thing
^^ then you would be surprised how many “dirt bags” are living here who have turned their lives around. ….even some living in Stevenson Ranch.
Yeah….duuuh…..
This was a muder/suicide has nothing to do with the new law
AB109ers should have to live at Jerry Browns house..
Ab 109 is California stupidity at its best these liberal f****** idiots cause most of the problems that we have in this state…

Brandi Simpson ~ how do you know exactly how he sexually assaulted his baby?? I don’t think anyone in the public knows any details of this case.
I live across the street from where it happened.
Yea.@lin nanson Geist.
The man is an early release from prison?? Sorry to pester – I have a personal reason for asking – a friend

He was out on early release when the incident happened.
Yea, I don’t know where you got your information but you are completely wrong. He was arrested on 1/24/2015 and has not been out of custody since. Check the website above ^^^
AB109 release PRIOR to incident.
Ahhh well I see no reason why that matters
Ab109 doesn’t apply to violent or sexual offenders so it won’t happen again for him
Probably because the dirt bag would have been in jail instead of out killing his kid.
Um. Ok then. Lol. No need to continue this conversion.
Thanks :)
It wasn’t a compliment.
I realized that. But you believe that good people who have made little mistakes with drugs, like my boyfriend, should not be given a second chance because there was ONE baby rapist. So I’m as done with your ignorant ass as you are with me. So…thanks :)
Yup you’re gonna judge everyone on a handful of people. Nice

Kristina Joy, part of the problem is I was having a conversation with someone about the shooter from last night – had nothing to do with early release. Just a curious question. Relax, you aren’t going to get folks like TJ. & some others to listen.
Tim Chelsea Anthony
Did you hear about this? Florian Montebon Nic Montebon?
I believe they are talking about if it was for Prop 47 Matthew Warner would of still been in jail and the incident with his daughter wouldn’t have occurred because he was arrested prior to the incident but was released early for “good behavior.” Sick SOB should rot in jail hopefully he never gets out now
That’s so stupid. He was out on early release because of ab109 which releases drug offenders early if they deserve it, giving them a second chance. No one could have guessed he was going to go rape his baby. And you know what, it would have still happened anyways. Right when he got out most likely. I’m not defending him or anything, we are on the same page with him rotting in hell. But I am defending all other drug offenders who do have good behavior and do deserve that second chance. It’s a great law, ab109 is
People need to learn about AB 109… no where does it say they get released early!! People under AB 109 will do there time in county jail rather then prison!!
Yea this TJ Pope guy can post as many of these as he wants. It’s pathetic
When did AB 109 passed be cause Alexander Hernandez committed these crimes in 2014…..and is still in custody.
AB 109 was passed back in 2011 or 2012 so all these recent crimes have nothing to do with it.
You ladies have no idea what you’re talking about but ignorance is bliss..for you anyway.

Out because of AB109. Murders Lisa Gilvary, then turned the knife on Gilvary’s roommate, and then a police officer.

Actually you dont Tj….no where has it been said that the 56 year old man who shot his 51 year old wife and then shot himself was a AB 109 case. Nor was the girl Jessica who shot and killed her brother. You are trying to blame the recent crimes in Santa Clarita on the prison realignment program when in fact they had nothing to do with it. All these cases your showing arent even from around here. Its ignorant of you to fill peoples heads with something that has nothing to do with what is going on
And further more, I wouldn’t expect you to know the truth about AB 109 since im sure you’ve never done time in your life and the only police contact you have is to snitch on people, where me on the other hand was in Prison when the whole AB 109 was coming into play. You still serve your time but in county jail. And upon release is when they decided whether your on parole, probation or whatever supervision they decide.
We should just live in one big prison planet. Surely that would prevent all crime.
Raechelle I’m not going to argue with you..the evidence to the contrary is out there. I’ve even done half the work for you by finding & posting links to just a small sample of many such cases. Also I was responding to pregnant girl who broached the AB 109 subject & wanted the public to know how proud she is of her AB 109er, drug addict baby daddy. While I’m confused about your pride in being an ex-convict, I’m not interested enough to even ask why..
So was the gentlemen who shot and killed his wife then turn gun on himself, cause it states it nowhere in the article.

What is causing all of these murders are some of the people coming out of jail. The state is shipping them to santa clarita, palmdale, and Lancaster. Which i believe is true because the same thing is happening in those areas too.
The state doesn’t ship anyone anywhere!! Lol when you get out of prison you Must return to the city you got arrested in. All the state does is give you $200.00 and a bus ticket and send you on your way!! Again people need to get facts before assuming!! Ive been to prison so I know for a fact they don’t ship us anywhere

They don’t ship anyone…. your given money for transportation, name and date to check in with probation, or you are let go and usually home of record. I didn’t need to be in jail or prison to know that.
The last two incidents have been family issues. Not a crime spree or home invasions or what not. That happens everywhre.
Theres no reason to call me ignorant and try to bring me out of my character, and if im wrong dont make a smart ass remark. Nobodys perfect! Its just local residence having a friendly conversation about Santa Clarita.

For those of you citing Santa Clarita as the 4th safest city, please note that Stevenson Ranch is NOT part of the City. It is unincorporated. So if you want to call this making our city “bad”, please note that this does not count against us.
