That’s all up to the policies of who they work for. I have placed people under arrest before while working “Security” most are simply not permitted to do so. And they aren’t security there. They are Loss Prevention Agents.
If a security member says I am under arrest they better have a recognizable badge, one that demands respect and if I am told I’m under arrest and I don’t see a gun on the “tool belt” I’m swinging giggling and running. But I see a badge a gun and someone who looks older than 22 then I stop. Freeze and show all respect in the world
He’s hot

Scumbag
he stole from a multi billion dollar company. I’m sure they can afford a minor loss. if I see this guy I’ll tell you, I’ve never seen him.
when it’s personal it’s different you should never steal from an individual. a corporatation? Rob them blind they pay less into taxes or funds than you or I do.
Same place I got robbed. In the parking lot. The detective did nothing. I investigated myself and they still didn’t get anything accomplished. Now I have permanent damage to my knees from this. Thanks scv sheriff’s.

What did he steal, a hallmark card? I’ve heard local police ignore theft from residents. They sure jump on corporate theft.

Still waiting for a response from the sheriff – I’ve written it off now. But if it’s from Target they would have gotten on it!

if it was worth $950 or less, it is just a misdemeanor….basically a ticket…unless he uses a gun , law enforcement cant do much thanks to prop 47 that was passed in Nov 2014…since the thiefs know there will be no punishment, what is the detirment to commiting crimes !!

Darwin Awards go only to people who have been killed due to their own stupidity (like the two guys who died over the weekend by setting off fireworks from their own heads) — and hopefully before they contaminate the gene pool by breeding.
Merely being a thief, even if a stupid one, doesn’t qualify one for such an “honor.”

Most comments are trite. Any success in finding this guy? Why is it soooooo easy to get away with crime in Santa Clarita? The Sheriffs show up (5+ cars) for any little call BUT seemingly spend toooo much time at 7-11 to capture real criminals… truth…
See update.
He’s not technically a Darwin award winner unless he removed himself from the gene pool by death or sterilization….
