missingThe Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has issued a missing-person alert for Kristin Ghilardi in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Ghilardi is a 29-year-old woman who was last seen in Canyon Country, according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials.

She was en route to take “Patrick,” a man with long hair, to Simi Valley, according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials.

“She works with Real Life Church feeding the homeless on Monday nights,” said her mother, Diane Ghilardi.

She could be driving a 2006 gray Toyota Corolla with front-end damage with California plates and license number 5VLM990, according to officials.

Ghilardi was last seen Wednesday, Aug. 26 at a friend’s home in Canyon Country, said Diane Ghilardi. A missing persons report has been filed.

Kristin Ghilardi has been in the areas of Northridge, Tarzana Simi Valley and Ventura over the past week, Diane Ghilardi said. Kristin Ghilardi has very short hair and may be wearing a bandana.

Please contact the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121 if you have any information about this incident.

(From Diane Ghilardi):

Our daughter, Kristin Ghilardi, 29, has been missing since Wednesday afternoon, August 26. She was last seen when she left a friend’s home, Ashley Boger in Canyon Country between 2:15 and 3:30pm. She told her friend that she needed to take a man we believed is named Patrick to see his parole officer in Simi Valley and would be back in time to pick up her 10 year old son, never returning to pick him up. Wednesday evening at about 5:30, Kristin texted her son’s father, Chris Williams, only texting, “Get Zack.” Later Wednesday night, Chris attempted to call her and she only whispered, “I can’t talk now” and hung up. No one has been able to reach her since. Her phone is off, or not charged and her voicemail is full.

She has not called her work, Costco in Canoga Park to report absence. She always picks up her son on Wednesday from Highland Elementary school or after school daycare. She typically picks her son up on Saturday evenings from Chris, but no contact was made. This is very unusual for Kristin.

Kristin has been involved with a homeless outreach through her church, Real Life Church, in Santa Clarita. Her friend, Ashley and Kristin met this homeless man on August 9th at Ventura Beach. He has long hair, (possibly Hispanic or Italian), glasses, and wears a ankle device. He balances rocks at Ventura Beach.

Kristin drives a 2006 Toyota Corolla, charcoal gray, license plate 5VLM990 with front end damage. Last seen Wednesday. A missing persons report was filed Friday with the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station. We are concerned for her safety and requesting media coverage to help find her and bring her home safely.

The 76.6-mile-long Antelope Valley Line has the third-highest ridership in Metrolink’s system with an estimated average of 9,000 passengers daily. However, the uneven terrain and single-tracking along the line in some areas forces trains to travel at a slower speed which results in an estimated travel time of approximately one hour between Santa Clarita and Union Station.
