The National Alliance on Mental Illness is starting a 12 week course at the Sanctuary Church on Feb. 9 for those who are struggling with mental illnesses and their family.
Family-to-Family Education Program is a free course for adult family members, partners or caretakers of individuals with severe mental illnesses on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The trained co-teachers are family members themselves and know what it’s like to have a loved one struggling with one of these brain disorders. Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder (Manic Depression), Schizophrenia, and Schizoaffective Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Panic Disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Co-occurring Brain Disorders , Addictive Disorders, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, are all mental issues which will be addressed.
The course balances education and skill-training with self care, emotional support and empowerment.There is no cost to participate in the NAMI Family-to-Family Education Program. This class is the first step to help your loved one on the road to recovery.
The Sanctuary Church is located at 26444 Friendly Valley Parkway in Santa Clarita.
