Thursday nights will heat up in Santa Clarita as the City’s popular Thursdays@Newhall series, presented by Galpin Subaru, returns to Old Town Newhall on March 3, 2016. Several new and reappearing events will be held on Thursday nights from March to October, including a rotation of interactive JAM Sessions and Concerts, Revved Up car show, SENSES block party, 10 by 10 theatrical variety night, Note by Note songwriter night, The ARTree 2016 Speaker Series and SCVTV Presents OutWest Concert Series.

Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival

The City of Santa Clarita is excited to bring this world-class event to multiple locations in the heart of Old Town Newhall, from April 20 to April 24, 2016. The 23rd annual event will continue to provide a high level of music, entertainment, food, and shopping at William S. Hart Park for a weekend of Western festivities. Additional locations to catch new and returning performers will be at the Canyon Theatre Guild, Repertory East Playhouse, William S. Hart Mansion, and Rancho Camulos Museum.

Essence of a Moment

Saturday, March 5 – 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The “Essence of a Moment” exhibit is presented in conjunction with the “One Story, One City” community reading celebration in Santa Clarita.  This year’s book is titled “Mary Coin,” written by Marisa Silver based off of Dorothea Lange’s iconic Dust Bowl image as a jumping off point for her story.

The 76.6-mile-long Antelope Valley Line has the third-highest ridership in Metrolink’s system with an estimated average of 9,000 passengers daily. However, the uneven terrain and single-tracking along the line in some areas forces trains to travel at a slower speed which results in an estimated travel time of approximately one hour between Santa Clarita and Union Station.
