COC concluded the day with a five-man team score of 389.
Santa Barbara City College finished in first place at 385, just one stroke better than Ventura College’s second place mark of 386.

COC freshman Will Barnett finished tied for sixth place with a round of 76 and freshman David Ennels finished tied for 14th after turning in a score of 78.
Austin Dobrescu and Travis Fay rounded out the Canyons top-five with identical scores of 82. Jaeyeol Kim had his score of 86 scratched.
Monday’s tournament marked the first WSC event of the 2016 season that Canyons did not win. The Cougars previously took first place at events held at Valencia Country Club and Alisal Ranch Golf Club.
COC will next head to Santa Maria Country Club on Friday, Feb. 26, to compete in the annual Allan Hancock Invitational. Scheduled tee time is 1 p.m.
