Friday, Aug. 5, is your last chance this summer to dance the night away at the 2016 Valencia Jazz & Blues Concert Series.

Not-to-be-missed Kelly’s Lot will be the closing band.  Kelly is a unique, internationally recognized blues singer.  Her funny easy going style, contagious energy combined with her extreme sincerity creates instant fans.  Joining her, from France, is Jacques François “Jeff Toto Blues” – singing the blues in FRENCH!

Set in a quaint street party setting on Town Center Drive, adjacent to the Hyatt Regency Valencia, this annual summer concert series (since 1999), features some of the top Jazz and Blues recording artists in the world, activities for the entire family with fantastic food and beverages.

Welcoming the newest sponsor, Mystic Hills Winery, will be serving their award winning specialty wine.  In addition, Wolf Creek Brewery will continue serving their popular craft beers along with Salt Creek Grille and BJ’s Restaurant serving a scrumptious variety of food items.

“It’s exciting to see the response to our concert series getting bigger and better each year,” said Barbara Myler, owner/producer of the VJB series.  We have our Sponsors, Vendors and Media partners to thank for making these concerts possible again this year.”

Some of the Series Sponsors making these concerts possible include: Princess Cruises, Hyatt Regency Valencia, Chiquita Canyon, The City of Santa Clarita, SCV Chamber of Commerce, among many others.  Media partners include: The Signal, Elite, Magazine of Santa Clarita, InsideSCV, KHTS AM 1220 and SCV TV.

“With all their support, we not only had a great time, we were able to continue our much loved tradition of supporting our local charities and making people smile,” Myler said.

Hours for this final concert are 7:00 PM until 9:30 PM. The event takes place on Town Center Drive at McBean Parkway, in the street outside the Hyatt Regency Valencia.

No pets or outside food or beverages are allowed.  Admission is free.

ABOUT KELLY’S LOT

Kelly’s Lot (http://www.kellyslot.com)weaves a variety of Americana styles on a Blues and Rhythm Foundation. Lead by singer/songwriter Kelly Z, the band has released 11 CDs and performed at countless concert venues and events. During their 21 years together this Southern California band has toured nationally and internationally including 3 tours with French artist Jeff Toto Blues who will be joining them this year on stage at The Valencia Jazz and Blues Concert Series.

Kelly continues to write and record songs for new releases including a song she wrote for the film “Last Call At Murray’s.” Kelly and her co-writer Perry, write with heart, contagious riffs and an inspiring spirit. With the band behind them, the connection Kelly’s Lot makes with a listener or an entire audience is contagious.

The full band includes Kelly Z on vocals, Perry Robertson and Rob Zucca on guitars, Matt McFadden on bass, Sebastian Sheehan on drums, Bill Johnston on Sax, Dave Welch on Trumpet and Bobby Orgel on Keys. Kelly and her co-writer Perry, write with heart, contagious riffs and an inspiring spirit.
