Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives are asking for the public’s assistance to locate the suspects wanted in connection to the murder of a woman in Lebec.

On Sunday, Aug. 14, in a remote area along Gorman Post Road, north of California State Route 138 in the Lebec area, a woman’s body was found lying in the brush by a motorist. Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies and fire rescue personnel responded and discovered the victim suffered trauma to the head.  She was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman’s identity was initially unknown but she has since been identified as Kimberly Harvill.

Now Homicide Investigators are looking for Joshua Robertson and Brittany Humphrey who were last seen with victim Harvill’s three minor children and have fled the state.  Joshua Robertson and Brittany Humphrey are WANTED for kidnapping Victim Harvill’s children following her death.  A warrant has been issued for their arrest under Los Angeles County DA Case #BA449493.

Joshua Robertson has a criminal history, is on Post Release Community Supervision, and has a previous arrest for possession of a firearm.  Joshua Robertson and Brittany Humphrey are also wanted for questioning in Victim Harvill’s death.  The suspect should be considered Armed & Dangerous.  DO NOT APPROACH and immediately notify law enforcement.

Joshua Robertson and Brittany Humphrey are believed to be driving the victim’s green 1999 Ford Expedition, and may bear CA license plate #7BEK024, or paper plates.  The suspects are believed to be traveling with the victim’s three minor children.  The children have been listed in law enforcement databases as “Missing Persons at Risk.”

Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.  If you prefer to provide information anonymously, you may call “Crime Stoppers” by dialing (800) 222-TIPS (8477), or texting the letters TIPLA plus your tip to CRIMES (274637), or by using the website http://lacrimestoppers.org.
