The Master’s University volleyball team beat Arizona Christian University in three sets (25-23, 25-20, 25-10) Thursday evening.
Thursday’s win improved TMU’s record to 17-9 and 9-2 in Golden State Athletic Conference play.
“We have been working on consistency lately,” commented TMU head coach Allan Vince. “We are learning how to finish when we have the momentum. Tonight’s match was a great example of staying consistent the whole way through as we combated Arizona Christian’s intensity and fire. I was proud of our girls for staying together and finishing strong in three sets. Our offense was on full display. We took big swings and made great setting choices. Overall, it was a great win on the road.”
Kayla Sims posted 30 assists, Morgan Koch and Aubrey Pyburn claimed 11 kills each, and Emily Clark earned 11 digs.
As a team, the Lady Mustangs earned 45 kills, 40 assists, 39 digs, four total team blocks, and a .419 attack percentage.
Looking ahead, the Lady Mustangs will play San Diego Christian on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in El Cajon.
