The damaging of property and crimes against persons are violations of the law that will be strictly enforced by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The Department’s Emergency Operations Bureau has established an incident command for the purposes of actively managing the events surrounding the inauguration, monitoring Los Angeles County, and coordinating any needed resources or response, should they become necessary.
The operational period will run throughout the Presidential Inauguration process.
Out of an abundance of caution, we have enhanced our uniformed presence for some areas of Los Angeles County and have tactical units at the ready to prevent and respond to any circumstances.
