The public is invited to enjoy entertainment and activities at the 24th annual Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival, presented by Heritage Sierra Medical Group. If an excellent lineup of country performances is not enough to get you in the Western mood: numerous activities, delicious food and authentic cowboy merchandise is sure to inspire the frontier feeling.
From 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 22 and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, the William S. Hart Park Event Area will be offering 13 food vendors, 41 merchandise vendors and more than 10 cowboy-themed activities for attendees to enjoy.
Tickets can be purchased online at CowboyFestival.org for $10 for adults and $7 for kids. Prices at the door will be $13 for adults and $9 for kids.
As attendees enter the Cowboy Festival, they will be immersed in a world of trick-ropers and gun-slingers. Native American lodges will be set up among the William S. Hart Park trees. Civil War reenactors will battle and cowboys will camp under the open sky. However, the performers don’t get to have all the fun! Festival guests are invited to pan for gold, hop on the back of the bucking mechanical bull, try their hand at archery and much more. Cowboy attire is encouraged.
Top notch Western merchants will be available for all cowfolk who are looking for one-of-a-kind accessories and knick-knacks. Specialty items and fine crafted home goods will be available for purchase along with iconic cowboy boots and hats. Attendees are also invited to meander over to the Buckaroo Book Shop where authors will be eager to mingle with fellow readers and writers. The Buckaroo Book Shop will be located adjacent to the OutWest Stage by Hart Hall.
Cowboys and cowgirls will find something irresistible from the variety of food vendors. Enjoy Our Place BBQ and Soul Food’s mouth-watering “Texas Style BBQ” with a glass of J. Dee & Henry’s Lemonade, or enjoy the savory flavors of Newhall Refinery. There are plenty of options to choose from! Be sure to save room though, because the Santa Clarita Valley Rotary Club will be serving up a festival favorite, Dutch Oven Peach Cobbler.
