Adult Protective Services social workers and other organizations servicing the 4th District, recognized for their tireless efforts to combat Elder and Dependent Adult Abuse.

U.S. Army Recruiting Los Angeles Battalion honored in recognition of the United States Army’s 242nd Birthday.

Los Angeles County Filipino-American Employees Association recognized in honor of the proclamation of June 12, 2017 as Philippine Independence Day.

Set at 11:00 a.m.: Discussion on Measure H funding recommendations and administrative actions to combat homelessness in Los Angeles County. (Relates to Agenda Nos. 3-D, 2-H, 6, 12, and 26)

Supervisor Ridley-Thomas authorizes the Director of Parks and Recreation to utilize grant funds for community violence intervention services and partner with the City of Los Angeles’ Gang Reduction Youth Development Program to enhance the Parks After Dark program and improve public safety in South Los Angeles. (Item 2)

Supervisor Hahn proclaims June 2017 as “Elder and Dependent Adult Abuse Awareness Month” and June 15, 2017 as “Elder Abuse Awareness Day.” (Item 7)

Authorize the Director of Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services to execute sub awards for the provision of elderly nutrition program services for a total estimated annual amount of $10,181,000. (Item 32)

Authorize the Director of Health Services to execute agreements with Schaefer Ambulance Services and Care Ambulance Services for the previously contested exclusive operating areas: 2, 3, 4 and 5. (Item 34)

Approve and authorize the Director of Mental Health to execute 69 legal entity agreements and amend 65 legal entity agreements for the provision of mental health services with an aggregate annual amount of $519,576,841. (Item 39)

Appoint Dr. Jonathan Lucas to the position of Chief Medical Examiner – Coroner at an annual salary of $350,000. (Item 81)

In closed session, Board to consider:
