Nearly 50 years after Santana burst onto the music scene, the Latin-rock band’s infectious grooves will be brought to life when Savor performs its tribute at the city of Santa Clarita’s Concerts in the Park at Central Park on Saturday, August 5, starting at 7 p.m.
Music lovers won’t want to miss out on this free show, presented by Logix Federal Credit Union.
Savor was formed to honor the career of Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famer Carlos Santana and the Latin rock music his group brought to the masses.
The tribute band delivers amazing renditions of everything from Santana’s musical roots in San Francisco and its debut at Woodstock in 1969 to its recent hits with current stars. Fans will be treated to classics such as “Oye Como Va,” “Black Magic Woman,” “Samba Pa Ti” and many more.
Concerts in the Park is a series of free concerts put on by the city every Saturday night through August 26. The family-friendly atmosphere allows residents and visitors to sit back, relax and enjoy the music all summer long.
Concert-goers are encouraged to bring beach chairs and blankets and food vendors will be on site selling a variety of concessions and snacks.
A free bicycle valet service is provided by the SCV Bicycle Coalition, allowing residents to bike to and from the concert and avoid the hassle of finding a place to park.
