The city of Santa Clarita’s summer 2017 Road Rehab program is nearing its 2017 goal of resurfacing 44 miles of city streets.
Starting the week of Monday, August 21, construction on major arterial roads will take place at night, between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. This is done to avoid interrupting the morning traffic flow.
Contractors will be monitoring noise level to ensure local neighborhoods are not disrupted.
For work done during the day on streets near schools, construction will take place between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to accommodate school schedules.
Contactors are also coordinating with each school to ensure bell schedules and school bus routes are not interrupted.
