Approval sought for reimbursement of up to $10,000 for costs of relocating the family and personal residence and reimbursement for temporary housing costs for Ms. Jill Serrano, Assistant Sheriff over the Sheriff’s Department’s Administrative and Technology Services. (Item 12)
Authorization sought for the Acting Director of Children and Family Services to execute amendments to various Emergency Shelter Care contracts, at a Maximum Contract Amount of $200,000. (Item 15)
Authorization sought for the Director of Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services to execute subawards with various entities for the One Stop Operator America’s Job Centers of California to provide access to a wide array of employment, education, training and support services to develop a skilled workforce in the County that meets the needs of the region’s employers, with an estimated three-year aggregate amount of $21,313,000. Recommendation for the Chairman to sign a contract with Hamilton Private Security for armed security guard services at Isidore B. Dockweiler Recreational Vehicle Park, Burton W. Chace Park, Dockweiler Youth Center and White Point/Royal Palms Beach, for a potential aggregate amount of $3,067,362. (Item 21)
Recommendation to establish and approve the Martin Luther King, Jr. Outpatient Center Central Sterile Renovation Project, for an estimated project cost of $1,428,000. (Item 22)
Recommendation to approve and adopt plans and specifications for the Mulholland Highway at Kanan Dume Road/Kanan Road Project, at an estimated construction total between $365,000 and $485,000. (Item 23)
Recommendation for the Chairman to sign a contract with AppleOne Employment Services to provide clerical services for the County’s Probation Department at designated Probation locations, at an estimated amount of $6,618,560. (Item 28)
Approval sought for a Model Master Agreement for water well systems maintenance services for a total aggregate amount of $750,000. (Item 29)
Los Angeles County Claims Board recommends a $200,000 settlement for lawsuit stemming from allegations of violation of constitutional rights by Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department and the Department of Children and Family Services when their children were removed without consent, exigent circumstances, or a warrant. Los Angeles County Claims Board recommends a $3,900,000 settlement for lawsuit stemming from allegations that a minor while in the custody of the Probation Department suffered injuries from an assault by other minors. (Item 34)
Los Angeles County Claims Board recommends a $700,000 settlement for lawsuit stemming from allegations of employees from the District Attorney’s office being subjected to sexual harassment and discrimination (Item 35)
