Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department pursued three men suspected of robbing a pair of MetroPCS stores into Newhall Friday night, according to officials.
The suspects, whose identities were not immediately available, were accused of robbing two MetroPCS stores, one on the 8000 block of Foothill, and the other on the 8400 block of Sunland Boulevard.
A crime broadcast was put out, and a Metro PD officer spotted the suspect, and a pursuit ensued, according to Officer Madison of the LAPD.
Sheriff’s Department officials helped secure the scene for a containment, as Los Angeles Police Department officers ended the chase on the 23000 block of Newhall Avenue.
The final suspect taken into custody was reportedly a local resident and a former Golden Valley High student, according to neighbors who spoke to KHTS News after the incident.
