The Way Out Recovery SCV will host the grand opening of its drug and alcohol outpatient facility for teens and adults at 28118 Bouquet Canyon Road in Santa Clarita on Thursday, October 19, at 5 p.m.
“We’re thrilled to have such incredible support from our community,” said The Way Out Recovery SCV’s Program Director Bob Sharits. “Our elected officials recognize the challenges we face with drug and alcohol abuse and have been incredibly supportive with the opening of our new facility.”
Along with members of the Santa Clarita Chamber of Commerce, many local elected officials are slated to attend, including Congressman Steve Knight, State Senator Scott Wilk, Assemblyman Dante Acosta, Assemblyman Tom Lackey and Santa Clarita Mayor Cameron Smyth.
Bob Sharits speaks at a Way Out Recovery workshop.
“We believe addictive disorders and related issues are stress induced and chronic,” Sharits said. “By teaching life-long coping skills and strategies to those afflicted, along with their loved ones, we can assist them in improving their quality of life and living happily and meaningfully lives without the need of destructive drugs or alcohol.”
