The Newhall School District annually updates its stakeholders on efforts to ensure the highest quality of education to its students. At the State of the District meeting to be held Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 6:00 p.m., in the Old Orchard Elementary School Multipurpose Room, attendees will learn about the following:
• How our students are performing on State tests;
• Changes to our reading, mathematics and science programs to support student success;
• A summary of completed building/technology initiatives funded by voter-approved Measure E;
• A glimpse of the sparkling Newhall Family Theater for the Performing Arts, a new asset for the community;
• Parent involvement and its connection to the State’s new system for rating school performance;
• The status of enrollment and its impact on the District budget.
Also, attendees will have an opportunity to meet the NSD Governing Board members and to ask questions and/or offer commentary regarding the District’s efforts to ensure student success.
Old Orchard Elementary School is located at 25141 Avenida Rondel.
The District will provide child care (care includes light snacks) as well as a box dinner to all adult attendees.
