The nonprofit Way Out Recovery SCV will hold a celebration of lives lost to drug and alcohol addiction and honor loved ones left behind on Thursday, December 7 at 6 p.m.
The event is free to the entire community.
“We’ve lost way too many local residents to addiction,” said Bob Sharits, The Way Out Recovery SCV’s program director. “Their deaths aren’t only a tragic loss, they continue to have a devastating impact on the friends and family they left behind.”
An angel wing wall has been created allowing families to place pictures of their lost loved ones in a powerful setting.
“We believe by publicizing these tragedies we can prevent future ones,” Sharits said. “The Way Out Recovery SCV is dedicated to act as an anchor and support for not only those currently battling addiction but also for families who are also impacted on so many different levels.”
The celebration will take place at Way Out Recovery’s Santa Clarita office, 28118 Bouquet Canyon Road.
